Some of you are going to chose a ceramic animal or a piece of porcelain jewelry as a Christmas gift. And like much of my fellow makers, my production takes quite some time. I depend entirely on Canada Posts for my shipping, so here are a few useful insights about this 2021 Christmas Deliveries.
Order as soon as possible
Do not wait until the last minute of the last day. I send packages as fast as I can from now on, I have at least 2 runs a week to the post office in order for your packages to be there before the December rush. I’m unable to guarantee any postal shipping time and once your package is in the mail, there is nothing that I can do. Postal customer services are rarely helpful. Here are the sending dates for different countries by Canada Post. Add 2-3 more days for packaging + your local postal services might not be as quick as Canada Post thinks they are ^^
- Australia: Nov. 25
- UK : Nov. 30
- France : Dec. 3
- USA : Dec. 9
- Canada : Dec. 21
Check your tracking link regularly
Each order has a tracking link. I would advise to check it at least once in the 5 days following shipping. It will show a date at which you should expect your package. In that timeframe, I’d check a few times to see if there are any delays and I’d be ready on the expected delivery time to either receive my package or check it again, if there are no news I’d check in with the post office. Sometimes your delivery person will not leave a notice, and the package will come back to me. In this case I will ship it again and I will charge extra shipping fees. This happens twice a month, so be ready !
Be ready to pay taxes and customs if you’re outside of Canada. They’re mandatory and I have no control over this.
Most of the times, issues are resolved by contacting your local post office. I always use small brown boxes, just in case they ask. 99% of issues have been resolved by waiting 24h or getting in touche with the post office.
If your parcel comes back to me and/or doesn’t seem to be able to make it in time for Christmas, I will post a printable card to put under your Christmas Tree while things get solved.
Be nice and patient
If a package doesn’t reach you, is late or is damaged : it is not my doing 🙂 I’m really working hard and doing my very best to ensure everything goes smoothly. Let’s stay calm and nice and I will make sure you have a great experience.
Adding a little note to your gift
If you’d like to add a little hand written note to your gift, let me know in the order’s comments. I will do my best to make a cute note. And if not, I really appreciate your kind order comments every time !
The Christmas Commissions are closed, I am working on them right now so they are delivered in a timely manner. There should be another commission round in November but they probably won’t make it in time – except maybe for Canada.
Thank YOU !
Thank you all so much for your continued support and kind word. I’m really thrilled by how well my work is received and you make me want to make even cuter things ! Have a nice holiday time !
